We have a library with a large collection of books that foster a love of literature. Students have library class once a week and visit the library with their English or French teacher and enjoy targeted reading and listening activities. We have fiction books (including mystery, science fiction & fantasy, sports fiction, supernatural, classics collections), nonfiction books and biographies. The library offers a relaxed atmosphere; it has a smart board and reference books and equipment that supports teachers and students whenever needed. The space is also used for exhibitions of students’ work or curriculum-linked displays, debates, presentations, and even competitions.

At LIS, we believe that hands-on investigation through laboratory experimentation is the best way to introduce students to scientific inquiry, the process of asking questions and conducting experiments as a way to understand the natural world, which is the foundation of science education. Our science lab provides students with the opportunity to interact directly with natural phenomena. Labs for Biology, Chemistry and Physics are well laid out to promote active learning opportunities and ensure that students are able to take charge of their own learning and discoveries in a safe and secure setting. The science lab enhances the mastery of science subject matter, developing scientific reasoning abilities, increases the understanding of the complexity and ambiguity of empirical work, develops practical skills, and increases the understanding of the nature of science.

At LIS, we know that computers play a vital role in the modern business world. Our computer labs are designed to enhance the scientific and technological research and invention capacity of students. LIS computer labs give students the opportunity to learn programming, and automation and improve basic computer skills that will help them later to define their career goals, entrepreneurship, and job opportunities.(we use chromebook).

We place a huge emphasis on students’ health. Playing outside helps students let off steam and is a crucial part of childhood that helps children develop physical strength, eye-hand coordination and balance. We have a playground and qualified physical education teacher who instruct our students in aerobics, karate, and sports. We aim to help our students develop resiliency as they learn to cooperate, overcome challenges, and negotiate with others. Our playgrounds are used for physical education classes and for assembling in the mornings and after lunch break.
